Terms and Conditions For the Norfolk International Airport auction:
Read ALL the terms, to the end, before placing your first bid.
There is VERY important information below, which is SPECIFIC to THIS auction, that you NEED to know and are required to agree to. By agreeing to these Terms, you are entering into a legally binding agreement. Do not take this lightly.

If you live or have a business more than 250 miles from this auction site, you must email a copy of your business license to us, PRIOR to registering to bid. If you do not, your bidding privileges will be suspended until we receive this paperwork. If your mailing address is not within 250 miles, you must provide a shipping address that is within our operating area. If you live with someone who has been banned from bidding on our auctions, you may not register to bid. If you do, you will be banned, as well.

AUCTION END DATE: Tuesday, April 30, 2024, Lot #1 @ 10:30AM 
and 1 item every 45 seconds thereafter.

AUCTION INSPECTION: Monday, 
April 29, 2023, 9AM-1PM.

IMPORTANT BIDDING NOTE: If an item specifies "Bid is x #" in the description, the bid you place will be multiplied times #. Example: You bid $50 on sunglasses & description says, bid is x 2, you will pay $50 x 2 (plus tax). Please plan accordingly.

AUCTION PICKUP TIME: Must be scheduled in advance. By appointment ONLY, Thursday, May 2nd, 9AM - 1PM. PLEASE request your preferred pick up appointment time BEFORE the auction ends by texting your bidder # AND time request to 757-287-8797. If you do not, your appointment time will be assigned to you and you will be notified by text. If you do not win any bids, your appointment will be automatically cancelled. ALL ITEMS INCLUDING VEHICLES MUST BE PICKED UP BETWEEN 9AM and 1 PM THURSDAY, May 2, 2024. Items & vehicles not picked up within this schedule will be considered abandoned. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made!

VEHICLE BIDDERS PLEASE NOTE: All vehicles must be removed from the airport property by 1 PM, May 2nd and paperwork must be picked up, from the Admin office, at the airport, between 9:30 AM & 3 PM on Friday, May 3rd. If you are unable to pick up paperwork on Friday, it will be mailed via certified mail to your address on the invoice.
 If you wish to have your vehicle titled in a business name, the business name MUST be in your Bidder Profile. Paperwork for all vehicles will be completed only with info from your Bidder Profile. If you wish it to be titled to a different person, you must give Natalie the preferred name and address BEFORE noon on April 30, 2024.

DEPOSIT, PAYMENT & OTHER FEES: An authorization for $100 will be run on your credit card, when you register to bid. It will be refunded immediately. No buyers premium will be charged on this auction. If a key was made for a vehicle, the key fee will be added to your invoice total. An invoice will be emailed to you after the auction ends on Tuesday, April 30, 2024. 
ONLY cash or cashiers checks 
(for vehicle purchases), made payable to Scott Freeman are accepted for payment. Payment is required, whether or not you pick up the item(s) you win in this auction. If you do not pick up your item(s), the credit card, in your Bidder Profile, will be charged for the total amount due, and will include an additional 5% administrative fee. No refunds or chargebacks are permitted.

SALES TAX: Virginia sales tax of 6% will be charged on all items except vehicles. Taxes & registration fees on vehicles are paid, by the Buyer, to the DMV, upon registration of the vehicle.

INSPECTION & PREVIEWS: We want you to get the best deal possible, so please inspect all items before placing a bid. Due to the number of items we sell, we do NOT have time to test or closely examine everything. All due diligence belongs to the bidder. If you have questions about a specific lot, please ask BEFORE placing a bid (best time to aske is during the preview)!

WARRANTY, CONDITIONS & DESCRIPTIONS: All items are sold as-is, where-is, with NO warranties expressed or implied, and there are NO refunds given, for any reason. Please read the description & examine the photos when bidding. If there is any doubt when viewing an item, go by the description only.

AUCTION ITEMS ENDINGS & AUTO-EXTENDED BIDDING: Our auctions feature a Simulated Live Auction Experience with staggered closings & auto-extend bidding. Items close at a pre-determined rate of 1 item every 45 seconds. With auto-extend bidding, the closing time of an individual lot will be extended an additional 2 minutes, when a bid is placed in the last 2 minutes of the item’s closing. This allows you a chance to place a final bid on an item you may have otherwise missed, and closely simulates a "live auction” experience.

PICKUP/REMOVAL: All items must be removed on May 2, 2024 from 9AM-1PM 
by pre-scheduled appointment only. The name and address in the bidder’s registration profile will be the name and address on the Bill of Sale and Affidavit of Compliance on vehicle paperwork. No changes will be made to the Bill of Sale or Affidavit of Compliance once completed. The airport owned vehicle (lot 192) will be sold with clear title. Vehicle paperwork will be ready for pick up on May 3, 2024, between 9:30 AM & 3 PM.
 
Bidders are responsible for all manpower and tools necessary for removal of their purchases. If you purchase heavy items, you must bring someone to help you load, along with furniture moving equipment. We do NOT dismantle, disconnect or provide any tools or labor for item removal. Repair work on purchased vehicles is NOT PERMITTED within the airport compound (work is limited to flat tires and jump starts only). Vehicles must be removed from the lot by driving or towing NO LATER THAN 1 PM, May 2, 2024.

ABANDONED ITEMS: Any items not picked up on specified removal days, may be discarded, removed, resold or stored at the Norfolk International Airport's discretion. When you place a bid and are notified of winning an item, the item contractually becomes yours, and all fees associated with moving, removing or collecting payment, whether physical or legal are the responsibility of the bidder. Failure to remove any vehicle by the specified time will forfeit your rights to the vehicle.

ATTENTION:
• The Norfolk International Airport reserves the right to remove any vehicle from auction.
• Failure to comply with all rules will result in being banned from future Norfolk International Airport & Scott Freeman, Auctioneer/Auction757.com auctions.
• Neither the Norfolk International Airport nor the Auctioneer is responsible for any arrangements made between a buyer and private contractors.
• A key fee will apply to any vehicle that did not already have a key & will be in addition to your winning bid amount to be paid.
• Keys are made to work the ignition only; they may not work the doors or trunk.
• Norfolk International Airport is selling abandoned vehicles under the Abandoned Vehicle codes of Virginia. No titles are provided for abandoned vehicles; however, all necessary paperwork is provided for the buyer to obtain the title from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Only airport surplus vehicles will have titles.

If you are unable to pick up paperwork on Friday, it will be mailed via certified mail to the address on the invoice.
